Streamers are long, thin strips of material which are typically fired from one of our streamer cannons, either the Big Shots® Double Barrel Cannon, the Champaign Blast®, the Handheld Cannon, or the Disposable Handheld Cannon. These cannons can be positioned well above and audience or stage, creating a “waterfall” effect with the streamers, or they can be positioned on the ground, creating a fountain effect. Either way, streamers can be used to create a spectacular visual effect accenting a special moment in your show. When a quick and easy clean-up is required, streamers are a logical
Streamer Types
There are three distinct types of streamers: Single Rolled, Double Rolled, and Imprinted. Single Rolled Streamers, our basic product, are made of a single roll of streamer material wound tightly and packaged into one of our speed-load sleeves. Double Rolled Streamers are two streamers, typically one tissue streamer and one PVC streamer, rolled together and packaged into one of our speed-load sleeves. We also manufacture single rolled streamers that have been imprinted with our client's name or logo.
Streamer Sizes
Standard size streamers using either 0.5" or 1" wide streamers 18 feet in length. While these standard sizes work extremely well for most uses, we do make custom width and length streamers for specific applications. Generally, larger venues require wider streamers to make the streamers more visible for the audience. If different lengths or widths of streamers are required to create a special effect in your venue, please make sure to give us a call to discuss your specific needs.
Streamer Materials - Tissue
Our tissue streamers are made of biodegradable tissue that has been treated to be flame resistant. We manufacture our tissue products from sources using approximately 90% recycled content. While we work to ensure that our tissue products remain color fast, we cannot guarantee that tissue will remain color fast under all circumstances. Tissue is the lightest of the materials we use to make streamers, and therefore, tissue streamers will, all other things being equal; remain in the air for a longer period of time than will other materials.
PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride or, "PVC" is a material that we have treated in three different ways during the manufacturing process to create three distinctive streamer looks. PVC is flame resistant and the coatings used are colorfast. The three variations of PVC used in our products are: 1) Non-Metallic PVC in which the PVC is dyed, becoming a translucent product which has the ability to show off vibrant, shiny colors without the Metallic content; 2) Metallic PVC, in which the PVC is dyed and coated with a metal to become highly reflective; and, 3) Day Glo PVC, in which the PVC is dyed and coated in order to become luminescent when exposed to black (UV) light.
CleanFree™
CleanFree™ is a material created from plant starch that dissolves when exposed to water. It is the perfect material for use in environmentally sensitive outdoor venues where clean up is either impossible, or very expensive. CleanFree™ is not FR treated.
